Hello and welcome to the Phoenix Metro area and specifically my area in the West Valley (West of I-17). I've found many Green Home resources in the valley and they are listed under the 'Green Resources' tab at the top of this page. I've included others to help spread the word of the many Green Resouces and ideas that are here in the Valley of the Sun.
What is a Green Home? I believe most people think of them as just being more energy efficient and easier on their wallets. The most committed will be looking for LEED certified, healthy homes with no VOCs, sustainable housing, and/or recycled/remodeled with used supplies. So, Green homes mean many things to different people.
My focus is to help people find the resources and learn what they can do that helps them save money today through smart home purchases or enhancements to where they live now. The ROI (Return On Investment) should be within 5 years based on current or near term expected costs for utilities.
